This project took me to the streets of Mangalagiri,
where the task was to find a protagonist and weave an engaging story inspired by their life.
I found myself drawn to the Jalebis of this Jalebiwaba from Rajasthan.
One thing led to another and I found myself talking, sharing stories and frying some Jalebis with them!

Brief

The story takes a metaphorical approach, where the Jalebiwala teaches a man how to prepare jalebis. In doing so, he subtly reflects on his own journey of migration, sharing the challenges he faced, the ways he adapted, and how the new state has now become his kadhai, his source of livelihood.
Yet, his heart and home will always remain in Rajasthan.
The narrative is interwoven with light moments of humor,
adding warmth and depth to the story.
